So, who’s this Mr. Abakia?
The dude behind the scenes is me, Dennis Wilson. As a son of Dortmund, a city with numerous identities, I have more than one heart beating in my chest. One heart for everything what’s about logics (computer science, math, systematics). The other one for eye candy (graphic design, arts, asthetics).
I’m into these topics for quite a long time more than 10 years now. During those days I discovered a lot of technologies I feel comfortable with and have focused on:
- programming: Action Script 3, Ruby, Java Script, PHP, Java
- design: HTML5, CSS, vector and pixel based graphics
- buzzwords: JQuery, Canvas, WebGL, Papervision 3d, Ruby On Rails, databases
Besides the work in the virtual sector, I organized and led several events and meetups for Chaostreff “CCC” Dortmund (f.e.: Uebermorgen Filmfestival (Aktion Mensch), Chaos BBQ Weekend 2008).
This level of commitment requires a lot of power. Therefore I bring home the bacon by working as web and interactive developer for United Prototype on Fliplife.
I also like to relax while listening to music, doing sports and of course, meeting family and friends.
